Overview

MQTee does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your connections, messages, and credentials stay on your devices.

Data Collection

MQTee does not collect any personal information. There are no analytics, no crash reports sent to us, no ads, no user accounts, and no data transmitted to our servers.

iCloud Sync

Connection configurations sync through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure. This data lives in your personal iCloud account under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot access it.

Keychain Storage

MQTT credentials (passwords and certificates) are stored in the Keychain, part of Apple’s security infrastructure. With iCloud Keychain enabled, they sync across your devices through Apple’s encrypted infrastructure. We cannot access Keychain data.

MQTT Connections

MQTee connects directly to the MQTT brokers you configure. All network traffic flows directly between your device and your MQTT brokers. We do not proxy, intercept, or monitor any of your MQTT communications.

Local Storage

Session data (subscriptions, message history, publish tabs) is stored locally on your device in the Application Support directory. This data never leaves your device unless you have iCloud sync enabled for connection configurations.

Third-Party Services

MQTee does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only external services used are:

• Apple iCloud — syncs connection configurations (optional)
• Apple Keychain — stores credentials securely
• App Store — handles distribution

Children’s Privacy

MQTee is a developer tool not directed at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Since we do not collect any user data, we have no way to notify users directly of changes.
